Graying Workforce: Safety Concerns of the Aging Employee.

Originally published in Professional Safety in April 1990, this was my first article published. I was awarded the ASSE ( American Society of Safety Engineers) 2nd place award for Techical Writing for this piece. I was approached by a publisher for a book deal. They wished for me to team with a doctor, but it never materialized.
I was 31 when I wrote this article about how safety professionals were going to need to get prepared for the baby boomers aging and here we are...all old.

A Safe Haven From Violence Emerges as Another Duty.

Originally published in Occupational Safety & Health magazine in August 1994, this article was turned down by Professional Safety. I sent to Occupational Safety & Health and they made it their feature article. This was written in the aftermath of several postal and office shootings. Now we have issues that go deep into our schools unfortunately.

Workplace Safety Accountability.

Originally published in Occupational Safety & Health magazine in April 1998, this article was inspired by my working with a Workers Compensation specialty insurance carrier. They were very committed to having their clients to be accountable for safety in their culture. The company loved it so much they had numerous reprints created and distributed to customers.
This is one of my most cited articles.
